Impact assessment on agri-food supply chain ‘in early 2018’, says Commission

The European Commission will carry out an impact assessment to gather an “exhaustive picture of imbalances in the food supply chain”, EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan and Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager told the European Parliament’s agriculture committee (ComAgri ) today.

The impact assessment will be steered by some elements raised by memberstates and the Parliament, with results communicated in the first half of 2018,Farm Commission Hogan said today (June 20).
