Forum Introduction:
The Europe-China Agricultural Robotics Forum (ECARF) is dedicated to building a premier international platform that bridges technological innovation and industrial application, with a strong focus on the practical deployment and commercialisation of agricultural robotics and embodied AI in real-world agricultural settings across the globe. It aims to facilitate Europe-China technological exchange, market expansion, and industrial collaboration.
In October 2025, the inaugural Forum was successfully held in Wuxi, China, resulting in multiple tangible “industry-academia-research-application” partnerships between Europe and China. The event received strong support and high recognition from the British and Dutch embassies in China, and preliminarily established a regular dialogue mechanism for Sino-European agricultural technology and industry.
On September 25, 2026, the second ECARF will take place at the old campus of the University of Coimbra in Portugal, which is a historic UNESCO World Heritage site. Under the theme “Bridging Innovation and Adoption,” ECARF will bring together approximately one hundred participants, including representatives from Portuguese governmental bodies in agriculture, science and technology, and education; the Chinese Embassy in Portugal; the British Embassy in Portugal; and leading academic, technological, and industrial organizations from China, the UK, Germany, Spain, and other European countries. Discussions will cover key topics such as technological breakthroughs in agricultural robotics, scenario-based applications, market expansion,
and joint talent cultivation, aiming to achieve a seamless integration across the entire “industry-academia-research-application” chain.
