The EU CAP Network is organising the workshop ‘Agricultural data for farm-centred decision support systems’ with a focus on innovation, knowledge exchange and EIP-AGRI. We are looking for participants who would like to share their knowledge and experience on the topic.
This event will take place in Toulouse, France, from 27 to 28 January 2027.
The event will focus on the practical use of data-driven digital solutions and decision support systems (DSS) in agriculture and forestry and explore how processed data can be transformed into practical, timely and actionable decisions for farmers, foresters and advisors. It will also explore end-user needs, practical applications of DSS, and key gaps and challenges affecting their uptake, including interoperability, connectivity, data quality, trust and digital skills, as well as possible solutions to address them. The participants will have the opportunity to
- discover practical examples and real-life applications of data-driven digital solutions and DSS in agriculture and forestry
- explore how DSS and digital tools can support better decisions, improve efficiency and competitiveness, and enhance sustainability and resilience
- exchange experiences and learn from farmers, foresters, advisors, researchers, technology developers and other actors
- discuss key gaps and challenges affecting the practical uptake of DSS and identify possible solutions to overcome them
- learn how European initiatives, demonstration activities and innovation projects can support the practical uptake of data-driven solutions
The event will include field visits, where participants will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas to accelerate the uptake of best innovative practices.
