We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in irrigation systems, environmental control technologies, and agronomic practices specifically tailored to cannabis cultivation. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing advanced irrigation and environmental control systems to optimize plant health, yield, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and improve irrigation schedules and feedings.
- Continuously improve plant nutrition.
- Control and optimize the environment inside the greenhouse.
- Supervise irrigation equipment.
- Maintain and clean all irrigation equipment (including tanks and pipes).
- Responsible for applying all phytopharmaceuticals through the irrigation system.
- Prepare fertilizer tanks.
- Monitor and report on plant health.
- Participate in regular meetings with peers and/or managers.
- Cooperate with other departments to achieve both internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Analyze environmental data and adjust settings to ensure consistent and optimal plant growth conditions.
- Collaborate with the cultivation team to address any environmental issues that may impact plant health.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and research to continuously improve cultivation practices.
Qualifications:
– Fluent in English and Portuguese
– Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
– Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field. (mandatory)
– Proven experience in irrigation management and plant environment control, preferably in a greenhouse setting.
– Strong understanding of plant growth parameters and environmental factors that affect cultivation.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while ensuring plant health and product quality.
– Knowledge of greenhouse operations and best practices in plant cultivation.
– Familiarity with irrigation systems and equipment used in greenhouse environments
