EU agri-food exports recorded their strongest ever start to a calendar year in value terms with shipments to third countries in January 2017 up nearly 10% compared with the same month last year.
Total sales are pegged at €10.3 billion, up €901m compared with€9.36bn in January 2016, while imports rose 8.5% to €10.18bn from €9.38bn.
