The operation manager supervises all the agricultural and industrial processes in relation with walnut production and commercialization.
Acting as the “farm manager” with organization and supervision of all the agricultural processes in relation with walnut production: plantation, irrigation, fertigation, diseases control, harvesting, processing, etc.
– Recruiting, training and controlling workmen forces.
– Managing stocks, purchases of chemicals and other goods, careful maintenance of tools and machinery.
– Assisting the general manager in implementing new investments projects.
– Accomplishing some administrative duties related to farming activities.
Requisitos:
– Education: Agronomy engineering or closed related subject.
– Experience: Minimum 2 years of field experience requested.
– Very good knowledge and experience in controlling fertigation and irrigation.
– Skills:. Languages: Fluent Portuguese and English.
. Driving license and driving tractors ability.
. Some experience in controlling and repairing machinery.
. Basic computer knowledge: Excel, Word, internet research.
– Personal characteristics:. Team and initiative spirit, intellectual curiosity, scientific mind.
. Very good organization and planification skills, abilities for problems solving.
. The candidate will live within reasonable distance from the farm.
