We are Ubees, a company specializing in pollination, regenerative agriculture, and biodiversity impact measurement.
We are currently conducting a field study in the Elvas region (Portugal) focused on quantifying the impact of pollination on self-fertile almond production. For this project, we are seeking an agronomy student for a paid field mission during August (2 days) to support our on-site data collection and impact assessment.
The mission will involve:
- Assisting with harvest measurements at tree level (yield and nut quality)
- Collecting and organizing field data (e.g. nut count, size, weight, defect rates)
- Supporting the implementation of a structured experimental protocol comparing different pollination conditions (caged vs open trees)
- Working closely with our team to ensure data quality and consistency
This project is designed to measure both yield and quality differences linked to pollination under real farming conditions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently studying agronomy or a related field
- Is comfortable working in field conditions
- Has strong attention to detail and interest in data collection
- Speaks English (Portuguese is a plus)
The mission will take place in August 2026 (during harvest period) and will be compensated.
