This person will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s sales strategy in Portugal and will be directly responsible for all the sales and development activities in this area.
Responsabilidades chave
- Initiate and maintain contact with current and potential customers of strategic importance to the company, through calls and personal visits;
- Create customer demand through promotional actions and/or recommendations of specific varieties;
- Conduct trials of new varieties in the area and promote them in the market;
- Develop product performance data in trials to determine the characteristics, advantages and benefits of new products and make recommendations to the Development Manager as well as collaborate with the Food Chain department regarding new products to be advanced in the commercial product line;
- Participate in trade shows, field days and activities related to product promotion and sales;
- Provide technical solutions to problems presented by customers and keep the Regional Coordinator informed;
- Anticipate market trends and identify new varieties. Clause to take advantage of considerable growth opportunities;
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of key competitor products;
- Produce objective, realistic and reliable forecasts for your sales area and market research;
- Handling and resolving customer complaints;
- Manage customer collections according to Company guidelines.
Competências
- Degree in agronomy, horticulture, or related discipline (minimum);
- More than 2 years relevant experience (sales and/or development);
- Fluency in Spanish (mandatory);
- Operational level of English;
- Agricultural background;
- Sales experience in agriculture-related environment;
- Self-driven and proactive with keen team spirit;
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Highly organized and motivated to improve continuously;
- Accustomed to working outdoors for long periods.
