Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of post-harvest technicians responsible for trimming operations (automatic and manual).
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure team efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of post-harvest activities.
- Trimming Operations:
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of automatic trimming machines to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Supervise manual trimming processes to ensure precision, consistency, and quality of the final product.
- Monitor trimming quality, adjusting processes as needed to meet product specifications and GACP guidelines.
- Implement and maintain in-process controls to ensure compliance with GACP guidelines and other relevant regulations.
- Document and report to the QA team any deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs) and help define corrective actions as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in trimming operations to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as cultivation and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of post-harvest activities.
- Assist the cultivation department with tasks such as scouting for pests, diseases, and other issues as part of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.
- Provide additional support in cultivation tasks such as plant maintenance, pruning, and canopy management when post-harvest activities are completed.
- Work closely with the Head of cultivation (or delegate) to prioritize tasks and ensure that all necessary support is provided to maintain healthy plant growth.
- Manage and track inventory of post-harvest supplies, including trimming equipment, tools, and materials.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of cannabis materials to maintain product integrity and prevent contamination.
- Enforce health and safety protocols within the post-harvest area to protect employees and ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Academic background in agronomy, horticulture or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in plant cultivation, specifically in scouting operations and IPM (integrated pest management).
- Solid organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dynamism, proactivity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and technical English is Mandatory.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
