The European Crop Care Association (ECCA) will host the second (II.) Crop Protection Regulatory Conference on 8-9 September 2026 at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel, bringing together EU policymakers, regulators and the post-patent plant protection industry to discuss the future of crop protection in Europe.
The II. Crop Protection Regulatory Conference is the only annual Brussels-based forum to connect the post-patent plant protection industry with policymakers and regulators, providing meaningful industry networking opportunities for attending participants.
“As the Food and Feed Safety Simplification Omnibus moves forward, it is essential that stakeholders across the agricultural value chain are provided with an industry forum to examine its implications and contribute to the future regulatory framework,” said Mónica Teixeira, President of ECCA. “The second Crop Protection Regulatory Conference not only offers a discussion forum, but a unique industry platform connecting senior representatives from across post-patent plant protection and the entire feed and food value chain – and the corresponding EU institutions.”
The conference will examine how upcoming regulatory developments and legal rulings may affect active substance and product evaluations, EU approval procedures, and Europe’s agricultural competitiveness and strategic autonomy. Speakers confirmed to date include senior officials from the European Commission, European Parliament and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), joined by regulatory agency representatives from EU Member States and industry experts and associations including COPA COGECA, International Bicontrol Manufacturers’ Association (IBMA) and CropLife Europe.
