Morocco threatens EU over farm and fisheries trade deal

Morocco has threatened to cut economic ties with the EU if the bloc does not show “frank commitment” to apply a provisionally-agreed bilateral agreement on trade in agri-food and fisheries products.

The Moroccan governmentthreat, issued yesterday (February 6,) follows an EU court of justice (ECJ) rulingin December which overturned an earlier ruling invalidating the bilateral deal –with the ECJ reinstating its validity but with Western Sahara
