MEPs approve EU-Canada deal, paving way for provisional entry-into-force

The European Parliament has voted to approve the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), paving the way for provisional entry into force.

MEPs in Strasbourg today (February 15) rubber-stamped the deal by a fairly comfortable majority, with the pact set to provisionally enter into force in April or May, while awaiting full ratification from national and regional parliaments of all EU member
