EU and Mercosur to agree FTA terms by year-end, says minister

The EU and Mercosur should reach a preliminary agreement on the terms of a free trade deal by the end of this year, a key figure in the negotiating process said this week.

Following thelatest round of talks between the two sides, Uruguayan Foreign Affairs MinisterRodolfo Nin Novoa said he was confident a text would be agreed over the next few months.
