EPO poised to stop granting patents on plants, animals from ‘biological processes’

The European Patent Office (EPO) will be discussing at the end of June how to exclude from patentability products which are the result of biological processes, with the aim of bringing EU patent law closer to EU rules, Agra Europe has learned.
