Arla has announced a 0.76ppl increase in February.

The price increase will take its UK standard litre price for liquid to 27.07ppl and the manufacturing priced to 28.16ppl. It is the sixth consecutive price increase.

Jonnie Russell, Arla Foods amba board director, said: “Markets in general remain strong, with good global demand.

“As a result of the mild winter, global milk supply is slightly above expectations, which is softening butterfat prices,” he said.

“Yellow cheese prices have also weakened across Europe over the last few weeks.”
